Bridgestone delivers Bridgestone sport field under its B-Active project to school
aiming to create spaces to improve the quality of life in Thai children

[Bangkok] (7 January 2021) - Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd, the number one tire manufacturer in Thailand, proceeds to deliver the 3rd Bridgestone sport field under the B-Active project to Wat Suthasinee Border Patrol Police School, Sai Yok District, Kanchanaburi Province. The aim is to help develop the quality of life in Thai children in remote communities to be happy and be in good health under the spirit of corporate social responsibility "Our Way To Serve".
Mr. Fumitaka Takaoka, Managing Director of Thai Bridgestone Co., Ltd, stated that, “Bridgestone is an official worldwide Olympic and Paralympic partner. We have introduced the "B-Active" project to support the development of the quality of life of people in Thai society to be healthy, both mentally and physically. Under this project we deliver multi-purpose sports field for community members to play and practice various sports according to the needs of schools and communities. Recently, we deliver the 3rd Bridgestone sport field with sports equipment and necessary items to Wat Suthasinee Border Patrol Police School, Sai Yok District, Kanchanaburi Province. About the budget for building this Bridgestone multi-purpose sports field, we would like to thank you to the over 3,000 runners from all over the country who participated in the "Chase Your Dream Run 2019" activity. It is because every runner joining the event has filled the dreams and brought smiles to Thai youth as every 1 kilometer they run, Bridgestone donates 20 baht in funds. As a result, we have a total donation of more than 2,000,000 baht to build a multi-purpose sport field and provide sports equipment for training. One of the main drivers is the quality of life in Thai children that all learning skills need to be developed in order to have a happy childhood. This project also aims to ignite and fulfill their potential to become an athlete in the future. Furthermore, Bridgestone is also committed to reaching the community by improving the well-being, learning and working of people while dedicated to making a better change in the community.”
“Wat Suthasinee Border Patrol Police School would like to thank Bridgestone for seeing the importance of Thai youth and providing this multi-purpose sports field to our school. It can be used as a venue for different sports and help encourage students to love exercise, being away from drugs and keep children healthy. In addition, it can be used as a venue for various activities within the school and the community as well,” said Police Senior Sergeant Major Suwadee Siangrod, head of Wat Suthasinee Border Patrol Police School.

For the atmosphere of the handover of "Bridgestone multi-purpose sports field " under the B-Active project, the company also organized recreational activities for the youngsters to enjoy with the management team, members of staff of Bridgestone Group and business partners who co-supervised closely.
